Ahuacamolli, often hispanized or anglicized as GUACAMOLE is one of the best things on the planet. The word is Nahuatl for “eating avocado with peppers,” or really, “a sauce made with or from avocado.”
Ingredients
- 2 large Ripe Avocados, or four small ripe avocados
- 1 Lime
- Salt
- 1 Bunch of Cilantro
- 1 tomato
- Jalapeno
Step 1 – Clean
Wash all of the produce
Step 2 – Tomato time
Chop up tomato as small as you can. You will get to a point where you want to give up and you will think you cannot chop any smaller– wrong, keep chopping.
add the tomatoes to your bowl
Step 3 – Cilantro or soap?
Pick the cilantro leaves off the stems. For presentation purposes, the cilantro leaves should be off the stems so that your guests or friends don’t get stems in their teeth.
Chop up the leaves as small as possible, and add them to your bowl
Step 4 – Fine Diced Onions
Cut your onion as small as possible, like your tomatoes when you get to a point when you simply cannot go on– KEEP GOING.
Throw em in your bowl.
Step 5 – Let’s Get Green
Cut the avocados in half and remove the skin and the pits (you can easily remove the pit by given your knife a nice and firm tap on the pit, once it is stuck just turn and pull the knife along with the pit)
Cut the avocado in eighths and throw em in your bowl
Step 6 – Jalapeno Grill
Figure out how spicy your pepper is by cutting a ring out of the center or the stem-end. Once you know how spicy your guacamole is, add as much jalapeno as you want. Also, consider dividing your guacamole in two portions: one with spice and one without. The key here will be to chop the jalapeno as small as possible.
Add to your bowl.
Step 7 – Add the Avocado
Start mashing the avocado with a fork, and mix as you mash so all of the ingredients start coming together to create one of the loveliest melodies on earth.
Step 8 – Get Limey and Salty
Cut your limes in half and squeeze one half into what is now shaping up to be guacamole. Add a teaspoon of salt as well. Mix.
Step 9 – Perfect the Flavor
Taste and ensure that you have a nice balance of salt and lime, slowly add more of any you might need to hit that perfect balance that will make everyone like you.
Serve!!!
