After 10 years of searching the tomb of Atahualpa, the last emperor of the Inca empire, has been found in Ecuador.  The find was made by an Ecuadorean researcher with help from the French Institute of Andean Studies. The digging part of the project does not begin until June, so we probably will not know what is inside for a while.

This find might provide some great new information about the colonial period in Peru.
